Maxi Dress from Old NavyThose of you that know me, know that I am not a wiz at the blogging thing. However, when I decided to start this business I knew that I not only wanted to help my clients develop a fashion forward look and style but I also wanted to provide them with some ongoing insight into what is hot as styles and trends evolve. The hope is to help each of you continue your fashion education whether you are building a whole new wardrobe or selectively adding pieces to your already existing repertoire.  In my bi-weekly blogs I will be highlighting the latest trends of the seasons, how to wear them, and some tips on wear to shop! I think it is critical for every fashionista to find those hidden jewel boxes in areas close to their home or better yet close to my home!!! My hope is that you will be entertained and inspired to create your own personal style with a little sprinkle of my fairy dust.  Let the magic begin!

Spring Dresses ‘09  (The Maxi Dress)

If you are a girly girl like me you will love the maxi dress which is hot for this spring! These fun dresses come in many different patterns, colors, and styles. I happened to be shopping for some t-shirts for my 5 year old niece,  when I happened upon the cutest maxi dress for only $39.50. Can you believe it? I rushed right over to the dresses as they were beckoning  me to purchase at least one.  Ok…well not really beckoning but it was close. Anyhoo…on the mannequin was this lovely floral green number with spaghetti straps that I absolutely had to have but as luck would have it, they ran out. So being the persistent one that I am, I inspected each rack carefully.  Needless to say, I didn’t find that exact dress but I did find one that I loved even more. It is this luscious hot pink and coral number that had my name written all over it. That was the best $ 39.50 I have spent in a long time. So the moral of this story ladies is that  being fashionable does not always mean spending the big bucks. You can still follow some of the trends out there without taking a toll on your wallet!  It is  all about how you wear it. Try wearing a pair of strappy sandals with it for a casual day look and a great bold pair of earrings or a cuff bracelet and clutch for the evening. This is one dress you can’t leave home without this Spring/Summer.

Here are some other great dresses I just had to show you.
